How to Create and Print Large Print Word Searches
Large print is a layout choice: it gives the grid and labels more space while preserving the same seeded puzzle and answer key.

What large print changes
Large print increases the visible size of grid letters, cells, headings, and word-bank text. It does not change the word placements, so standard and large-print outputs can still share one answer key.
Letter size and grid size
A larger type size needs a larger cell. A compact 12 by 12 grid usually has more room to grow than an 18 by 18 grid on the same sheet, so compare the actual preview before printing.
Choosing shorter word lists
Fewer words leave room for a larger grid and a readable bank. Keep the terms most central to the topic instead of shrinking the page to accommodate an unnecessarily long list.
Portrait versus landscape
Portrait often suits a square grid with the word bank below it. Landscape can provide extra width for a larger grid or multi-column bank, but the best choice depends on the selected paper and content.
Letter and A4 paper
Select Letter for common North American paper or A4 for the international standard. The preview fits the layout to the chosen sheet rather than treating one paper size as a scaled copy of the other.
Word-bank readability
Check the bank as carefully as the grid. Terms should not crowd together, split unexpectedly, or become so small that the larger grid no longer provides a consistent large-print layout.
Printing an answer key
Put the solution on a separate page when space is limited. The highlighted key should be derived from the same grid coordinates, not generated again with different settings.
Using the site's Large Print option
Open a reviewed puzzle or create one in the generator, choose Print, and enable Large Print in the output settings. The option enlarges the print layout without changing the stored puzzle definition.
Checking the preview
Confirm that every grid row, word-bank item, title, and optional answer page appears before opening the browser dialog. Also check orientation and paper size because browser settings can override the preview.
Printer-margin limitations
Printable areas vary among printers. If an edge clips, choose another orientation or reduce browser scale slightly; do not assume a borderless setting is available on every device.
